The temperature is finally climbing, and I am ecstatic! The sun is shining in and around the Chicago area & we are actually going to see temperatures above 50 degrees today! In celebration, I’ve just ordered a pair of these cute “Rant” flats from Bobbi Blu.

Sure, they aren’t high fashion. No four inch heel or decorated wedge. I won’t be wearing them to the office, out on Friday night, or to church on Sundays, but I will definitely wear the heck out of them. I think they are adorable and so easy-breezy, just exactly what I was looking for to wear over Spring Break while hanging out with my kids, spending some time in my yard (if nature keeps supplying the warmth that is), and just enjoying some needed “Down” time.

The price is right and the look is so playful & fun, with very feminine elements like the bow, lace and print fabric uppers. Also available in Mustard & Taupe. $63 @ zappos.

I received a request from a wonderful blog reader named Reanna this past weekend. She is in love with the Bobbi Blu shoes, particularly the Booties, mary janes, and the Shooties (she’d settle for any pair) but Reanna is only 15 and cannot herself afford them, nor can she convince her mom to shuck out the $100 for them.

Reanna has asked if I could locate a close substitute or look-a-like bobbi blue shoe for under $50. Her mother has told her she will purchase the shoes - if they are under $50!

Well Reanna, I found a few different look a like shoes, the first is the Bullboxer Layla Boot found at Journeys for $49.99! I think they are very cute and definately have that Bobbi Blu vibe about them with the lace and safety pin accents.

This second option was also found at journeys, it is the Sarah-Jayne Maddie in black and sells for $39.99.

I would also suggest you take a peek at the Madden Girl shoes, they are not an exact match with the bobbi blu’s but are just as cute & trendy, plus they sell for between $35-$55 per pair. Below is the Veniice Pump ($39.99), G-Sassie Pump ($49.99), Skarlt ($55.95), the Wilaa ($50.95), and the G-Orbit ($31.99).

Sale shoes: Below are shoes on sale for around $50 that are a close match to the Bobbi blue look. They are the Kenzie shoes whose company also makes bobbi blu’s, so if you can locate Kenzies on sale, you won’t have an exact match - but you will get a similar shoe style and quality.
