The temperature is finally climbing, and I am ecstatic! The sun is shining in and around the Chicago area & we are actually going to see temperatures above 50 degrees today! In celebration, I’ve just ordered a pair of these cute “Rant” flats from Bobbi Blu.
Sure, they aren’t high fashion. No four inch heel or decorated wedge. I won’t be wearing them to the office, out on Friday night, or to church on Sundays, but I will definitely wear the heck out of them. I think they are adorable and so easy-breezy, just exactly what I was looking for to wear over Spring Break while hanging out with my kids, spending some time in my yard (if nature keeps supplying the warmth that is), and just enjoying some needed “Down” time.

I received a request from a wonderful blog reader named Reanna this past weekend. She is in love with the Bobbi Blu shoes, particularly the Booties, mary janes, and the Shooties (she’d settle for any pair) but Reanna is only 15 and cannot herself afford them, nor can she convince her mom to shuck out the $100 for them.
Reanna has asked if I could locate a close substitute or look-a-like bobbi blue shoe for under $50. Her mother has told her she will purchase the shoes – if they are under $50!
Well Reanna, I found a few different look a like shoes, the first is the Bullboxer Layla Boot found at Journeys for $49.99! I think they are very cute and definately have that Bobbi Blu vibe about them with the lace and safety pin accents.
This second option was also found at journeys, it is the Sarah-Jayne Maddie in black and sells for $39.99.
I would also suggest you take a peek at the Madden Girl shoes, they are not an exact match with the bobbi blu’s but are just as cute & trendy, plus they sell for between $35-$55 per pair. Below is the Veniice Pump ($39.99), G-Sassie Pump
Sale shoes: Below are shoes on sale for around $50 that are a close match to the Bobbi blue look. They are the Kenzie shoes whose company also makes bobbi blu’s, so if you can locate Kenzies on sale, you won’t have an exact match – but you will get a similar shoe style and quality.

I’ve been getting a lot of traffic from people searching for the Bobbi Blu Shoes, so I decided to write an update post. I’ve searched all over online for the entire bobbi blu collection and found bits and pieces here and there.
You can find almost all the fall styles at ShoeMall. They must have just gotten them in stock over the last week, as I searched only a week ago for this collection!

I hadn’t noticed the Bobbi Blu label until I got my September issue of Elle. After seeing the pic of their Aromic shoe, I began looking online for more. Much to my surprise, I’m having real difficulties finding them. I had to go to the boobiblufootwear.com website to even see the collection for fall and then I tried to follow the websites links for “Where to buy”, but only two of the sites even had them listed and of those two, only three pieces were even offered.
I like the look of the Bobbi Blu fall shoes, I think for moderately priced trendy shoes they are a Stand-Out, I simply wish they weren’t so difficult to find. From what I could tell from the Dillards and Buckle websites, a pair of Blu’s run around $70.
Here is the info about the collection from the PrimaRoyale website:
“Bobbi Blu is a collection of retro modern footwear that alludes to that sense of mystery that exists in every girl, in every woman. She is a style independent, funky, fresh, and always original.”
Well, that sounds like my kind of shoe – and by the looks of them, they probably are.
This first pair is the Required shoe by Bobbi Blu. Miss Vicki likes it very much.
This next is the Aromic, I’m lov’in it.
Check out the Astria, I adore this one. I like the vintage styling with the bow accent on the back, and the collar, I’m loving the collar – I want this shoe! If anyone can find it online, please post and let me know where I can purchase.
Next is the Halter, I like the ruffle combined with the buckles it makes this boot simply divine.
Last, I liked the Prior, Need I say more? Just look at the shoe… provided they wear as well as they show – I’m in love!
UPDATE! Thanks to an email from a reader, I now know that Bobbi Blu is a new collection from the designers at Kensie, from what I was told the Kensie Footwear Line is no more, to be replaced now with the Bobbi Blu Label. Thanks for the info – if anyone else has more info on Bobbi Blu or Kensie please email me at vicki at soleshebang.com!
Oh, and I’m still trying to find a store carrying the Astria, I just have to get this shoe!
