Shoes designed to strengthen and tone your calves, thighs, and glutes are nothing new – The MBT Sport Sneaker has been around for a few years now. First introduced and sold in the USA by Bliss , the MBT’s were quite a sensation from the start – claiming to help rid women’s legs of unwanted jiggle; toning and erasing cellulite just by wearing them. The claims were almost enough to make me overlook how truly unfashionable they were, but alas I never purchased the sneakers because I just couldn’t justify spending $255 or more on a pair that may not provide the results they proclaim.
The Fitflops are a bit different, oh they are still unfashionable, however they cost about $200 less than the sneakers and provide lazy workout allergic women like me a shortcut in the fight against flabby thighs & butts. The company website claims they are “The Flipflop with the gym built in.”
These are something I can wear (in privacy at home) after a nice evening bath, while I’m running around the house cleaning up the kitchen, doing laundry, or any number of mundane chores and without even having to don a pair of socks or bend over to tie up – I’m working out my legs & buttocks!
