In celebration of the First Day of Summer - I present some of my favorite flip flops for the summer season. Flip flops, not to be mistaken for “Thongs” or “Thong Sandals” (that’s tomorrow’s post!), are low priced, very very casual, bold & fun, have no heel, and are generally made of rubber or another synthetic substances. They are not meant to be ultra chic or cost a fortune - luckily for me many designers offer their own unique & stylish flip flop creations - which means I can get several pairs! The temperature is finally climbing, and I am ecstatic! The sun is shining in and around the Chicago area & we are actually going to see temperatures above 50 degrees today! In celebration, I’ve just ordered a pair of these cute “Rant” flats from Bobbi Blu.
Sure, they aren’t high fashion. No four inch heel or decorated wedge. I won’t be wearing them to the office, out on Friday night, or to church on Sundays, but I will definitely wear the heck out of them. I think they are adorable and so easy-breezy, just exactly what I was looking for to wear over Spring Break while hanging out with my kids, spending some time in my yard (if nature keeps supplying the warmth that is), and just enjoying some needed “Down” time.

If you are looking for a perfectly stylish & charming office shoe for Spring, this is it.
