Happy 4th of July. I know it’s a little to warm to be thinking about Fall booties, but these are so beautiful I just cannot help myself. Available in seven luscious colors! The heel height on these is a towering 4.7 inches, with a wedge height on 1 inch. $495 @ yoox.
Much has been written about Crocs, it seems people either love them or they just hate them. I’ve never been inclined to buy a pair, even though the original Crocs Shoes have become a bona fide phenomenon, I take pride in the fact that none of my children (nor I) have a pair. The original slip on shoes were, in my opinion, an eyesore - although I do acknowledge they are held in high regard by many for their comfort & price.
So, now we have the You by Crocs line which are much more stylish and “Wear Worthy”, however the prices are much much higher also. I would definitely wear them, I think they are cute & stylish and I hear they are very comfy - but I wouldn’t spend this much money for a pair of shoes from Crocs, period.

I discovered these wonderful Coclico wedge booties this morning at Zappos. The thing I really like about them, besides the fact that they are wedges rather than heels is the foldover cuff. I first saw this style this fall with the bobbi blu Astria shoes and simply adored that vintage look, but these Coclico shoes are kind of a “Grown up” version, with the overall look not so focused on being cute or trendy but instead a bit more mature and substantial.
The lace-up is a great addition and really sets this shoe apart. The color is called Prince black and is simply a basic black leather, which keeps the look clean and sophisticated. I do hope however, that this shoe will be offered in a few more colors, I’d like a pair in brown suede or leather. Get Them Now @ zappos.

Judging by the purely superficial, these booties by Marc Jacobs are all that and a big shoe horn. The cool granny style lace-up’s, the buckle accent, and the sporty contrast all combine to create a visually stunning bootie, but those 5″ heels make me wonder just how wearable these booties would actually be for us mere mortal women. Great for the runway - perhaps not functional in the real world? $853.95 @ zappos.
